St. Luke's United Methodist Church

Lay Readers

At most services, there are two readings of Scripture, one offered by the pastor and one offered by a layperson. Lay readers may be any age, just so long as they have familiarized themselves with their selected text before reading it in worship. Bill Brown coordinates our schedule for lay readers. You can become a reader by signing up on the bulletin board outside the sanctuary or contacting Bill Brown.

By sharing the scriptures, lay readers illustrate that the Word of God belongs to all of us.
